Rotary Club video ads
Working for 3sixty marketing and under the art direction of Kate Emms we created animated video ads for Plato’s closet.
Running general ads and event ads for upcoming sales. Designing layouts, style frames, storyboards, animating them in after effects, and A/B testing multiple creatives. Then making them into reusable templates for other Platos closet locations.
Developing Storyboards
Above and below are finalized storyboards developed for past Rotary projects.
The process of creating an effective storyboard starts with crafting a written storyboard, where we outline key scenes and
define the narrative flow. This written version helps shape the project's overall direction and ensures alignment with the vision.
Next, we move into outlining key scenes by breaking the project into visual segments, highlighting important moments and transitions. A brief summary is written for each scene to guide the visual interpretation.
Following the summaries, we begin drawing thumbnails or designing them digitally using tools like After Effects or Illustrator. These thumbnails serve as rough sketches that visually represent each scene.
Once the initial thumbnails are ready, we review and revise to ensure clarity, flow, and alignment with the project's objectives. This collaborative process helps refine the story structure and visual layout. Finally, we move on to finalizing the storyboards, making sure they reflect the intended direction in precise detail. Technical annotations are added,
highlighting aspects such as camera angles, transitions, timing, and sound cues, ensuring that everyone involved in production is on the same page.
Storyboarding is an essential part of our process, allowing us to visually communicate ideas and bring projects to life with creativity and precision.
Fast Effective StoryTelling
With these projects fast turn around was needed. Emphasizes the importance of efficiency and careful planning to manage fast turnarounds and minimize revisions. In a fast-paced environment where timelines are compressed, every stage needs to be executed with precision to ensure deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. This meant minimizing revisions and reducing the
back-and-forth that could delay production. From the outset, the team focused on crafting a written storyboard that clearly outlined key scenes, defined the narrative flow, and aligned with the project's objectives. This step was essential for setting a strong foundation, ensuring that all team members had a unified vision from the start, which cut down on miscommunication and potential errors.
Working with Rotay
Creating videos for the Rotay clubs's events over the past 3 years is a enjoy but also can be a bit of a mixed bag as you never know what to expect. It was a great opportunity to help the community
